How to Win
To win Bogey Solitaire, you must play all the cards without exhausting the available columns (piles). Manage your cards and columns wisely to achieve this goal.
How to Play a Card to the Table
Over the course of the game, columns of cards are built. Each column contains cards of the same suit, arranged in descending order (K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A). To play a card to the table, it must be added to the bottom of a column of the same suit containing only higher-value cards, or used to start a new column.
Gameplay
The game starts with an empty board. Play alternates between you and the bogey, starting with you:
- Your Turn: Draw enough cards to bring your hand to five cards. Decide whether to play a card, discard it, or hold onto it for the next turn.
- Bogey's Turn: The bogey plays the next card from the deck, which you must place on the table. Choose where to add the card, either to an existing column or to start a new one. If no legal move is possible, the game is lost.
- End of Deck: When the deck is depleted, shuffle the discards to form a new deck.
Legal Card Placements
Ensure that each card placement on the table follows these rules:
- Same suit cards in descending order (K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A).
- Add a card to the bottom of a same-suit column with only higher-value cards.
- Start a new column with a card if necessary.
Restarting the Game
If you reach a point where no legal moves are possible or you exhaust the available columns, you can restart the game to try again.
